Square dancing is friendship set to music

Our dances are on the first to fourth Tuesdays of every month at Southern Star Ballroom - 6625-015 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh, NC 27615 (map). See our Map page for more detailed directions. We dance Mainstream and Plus levels of modern Western-style square dancing from 7:00 - 9:30 PM. We add line dancing many nights. Our dress is casual, although many of us dress up for special club dances (e.g. Halloween). Our fabulous caller, Greg Jones, is one of the best in the Southeast. He sings a wide variety of music, from traditional country (Barbara Mandrell) to current country (Darius Rucker), from traditional popular (Elvis) to current popular (Lady Gaga). Each night Greg devotes time to improving the skills of the dancers, while the majority of the time is spent on just dancing. Square Dancing is Party Time - fun and friendship.

We started Beginner lessons on Tuesday February 20.

We will host our Annual Dance on July 15 at Southern Star Ballroom - 6625-015 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh, NC 27615. Dancing Couple 2:30-5:30 PM: Mainstream, Plus and Rounds - Southern Star Ballroom. Scott Bennett and Greg Jones, callers. Jim & Priscilla Adcock, cuers.
