Club Colors and Style
Color:
Capital Squares proudly wears red as our club color, inspired by the flag of Raleigh, the capital city of North Carolina. Just like the Raleigh flag, which features bold red alongside symbols of local pride and heritage, our dancers often pair red with white or black at dances and events. This vibrant combination reflects our connection to the city and the lively, welcoming spirit of our square dance community.
Style:
At Capital Squares, most of us keep it casual for our regular dances — comfort is key when you’re swinging and twirling! On Saturday night theme dances, though, especially around the holidays, folks love to get a little festive and dress to match the theme. It’s all in good fun, and you never know when you’ll find yourself dancing next to a pirate, a pumpkin, or someone in a Santa hat.
